Spain = World Cup Champions Spain wins the World Cup 2010! Their first time winning it. Congratulations to them! Too bad I did not bet on this match. I had a gut feeling that the score would be 1-0. Was thinking of throwing down $100 to bet. Damn it! Could have been a couple of hundred of dollars richer today. =( Taro? Okay. So taro is actually another name for yam. And I always thought that the Burger King Taro Turnover was filled with red bean. And I just had one for lunch today. Damn. Octopus Was Right The Spanish defeated the Germans to advance to the finals and face the Netherlands team. Score was 1-0. I only watched the final moments at the game starting from 4:03am, so I missed the part where the Spanish scored. But its okay. From what I saw of the final minutes, the Spanish defense was very good! They prevented the desperate Germans from getting close to their goal! Well done! Here's wishing the Spanish all the best in the Finals! GG! Germany VS Spain Tonight!!! I hope Germany wins tonight. If they use the same defense as the last match againsst Argentina, they might have a chance of stopping the Spainish offense. *prays* Carrefour Exiting? Looks like Carrefour may leave Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Looks like either Carrefour will be managed by somebody else or there will totally be no more Carrefour in Singapore. In fact, immediately after the match, people on YouTube were already comparing this match to the Germany - England match and saying that England were in fact not that lousy. After all, England did score 2 goals against Germany, counting that goal that the idiotic referee disallowed. The Germany defense was solid. If one Argentina player possessed the ball for a few seconds, and approached the German somewhere near the penalty box, he would soon find himself surrounded by two or more German defenders. To me, this effectively blocked off the Argentina player's options and seemed to make him more panicky, resulting in the turnover of the ball. This defense was so effective that Argentina could not get close to the goal and had to make long range shots from way outside the penalty box. The German's offense, on the other hand, was really good. They helped each other out and they broke through the Argentinian defense again and again. That was how they managed to get so close and scored all 4 goals at point blank range. Precision passes and good teamwork worked extremely well for the Germans. Shocker Brazil is out of the World Cup after having lost 2-1 to Holland. What a shocker. In fact, this year's World Cup has been a complete mess. Now we have to see who will be the next big shot to be kicked out of the World Cup: Germany or Argentina. |
