Stupid Client
Saturday, 31st January 2009, 12:34:11am

Some of our clients can be really idiots.

Client A wants us to publish their micro site and make it live to the public. However, the Client has not provided us with all the content yet. We suggested not to publish now but they insisted  on it so I did it. Publishing it will not be easy as I had to update 20 over of their micro sites as well so that visitors will be able to find the new micro site from any of the others.

After an hour or more of updating, Client A calls back and says not to go live with the new micro site! Wah...win already loh! What the bloody f...argh...

Back To Work
Wednesday, 28th January 2009, 10:31:37pm

The MRT train was surprisingly less crowded today. Maybe because half the workforce on leave I think. Hahaha! So much space to stand. Usually, it will be so crowded until you could actually smell the other person's bad breath and know what he had for breakfast.

Some shops were opened today though. Including restaurants and kopitiams. Even Qisahn, where I bought my PSP from, was opened today. Just nice. My analog stick was really giving me problems. Even without touching the analog stick, my players in NBA Live 09 would automatically run upwards or move somewhere I did not want them to go. So, I went to Qisahn immediately after work to get the whole thing sorted out. Especially when the warranty was still valid.

The gal at Qisahn was very helpful. She touched the analog stick and she immediately told me that the mechanism inside was totally "destroyed". I kept quiet but in my head, I was thinking to myself that it must have been all those Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX matches that I kept playing before and how I violently moved the analog stick left, right, up, down and around. Anyway, she was super experienced with fixing PSP sets and quickly dismantled my PSP, took out the damaged analog mechanism and replaced it with a brand new one. Now it works like a charm. No more disobedient NBA players in my game.

2 more days to the weekend.

KL Update
Saturday, 17th January 2009, 6:00:11pm

Haven't been able to update my blog lately.

First, was the problem of internet connection. There is no wireless internet connection in the room! Only wired via a LAN port. So I called the operator to ask for a LAN cable but they said all their LAN cables have been lent out. Its only now on the second day of my trip was I able to get a LAN cable from a colleague who took TWO LAN cables from the hotel! Since there is only one LAN port per room, having two cables was pointless, he gave me one cable to use! Yay~!

I got lots of photos to post up. Hope to be able to do that by this weekend if I am not too tired from the return trip.

Before Leaving For KL...
Thursday, 15th January 2009, 4:20:46pm

The office is super quiet here. Most of the company staff have already left for Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Just the four of us are all that is left to make the trip to KL and join the rest. Its like we are the unimportant ones so we are not left to arrive last. Oh well...

Thought I had everything packed and ready. Was quite confident. It was only when I reached the office then did I realize that I had forgotten to include my PSP charger!!! Just great. Now I only have two PSP batteries to last for the trip to KL and the trip back to Singapore. Not sure how long each trip will be but I am guessing around 5 to 6 hours. A single PSP battery can't last a single trip. Shit.

Just hope I haven't missed out anything else other than the charger.

The Red Affair
Saturday, 3rd January 2009, 7:29:31pm

Some of you have been asking about the rewards for taking part in the Red Affair blood donation drive by IAHGames. Yes. They will be giving out a free Game DVD installer of Granado Espada.

They will also be giving out 1 packet of limited edition Zeia Red Packets and an ingame item called Rabbit Grindstone (I have totally no idea what benefits it bestows on your characters though) to the first 50 persons.

The first 200 persons will get an additional ingame item called White Christatus (no idea what this does too), another packet of limited edition Zeia Red Packets and Settler's Cafe voucher.

The event will take place on the 3rd and 4th of January 2009. I think by now, the only reward you will get if you were to participate in the blood donation is just the game DVD.

For more information about this event, go to http://ge.iahgames.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?id=971
