Tag It!Hadoken!!! Qisahn finally emailed me saying that I could collect my copy of Super Street Fighter IV. Initially, they said they only have R1 version. I don't quite like R1 versions since I am not sure what will happen to my DLC like the Alternate Costume pack but I was willing to take the risk anyway. In fact, some of the guys over at Gameaxis forums stated that they did not encounter any problems with an R3 version of Street Fighter IV together with an R1 version of Super Street Fighter IV. Online game play takes place over a global server and ignores region version of the game. So I went down to Qisahn immediately after work and told the guy. Once I had identified myself as one of the guys who pre-ordered, the first question was whether I wanted R1 or R3 version. Of course I took the R3! So, paid a total of $55 for it. Here is it!
Having lots of fun with the game. Exploring the moves of the new characters, learning new combos and trying out the Trial mode. Totally worth every cent. 4 More Days... Have you placed your pre-order yet? =) Thunderstorm, Power Surge and Infestations There was a really bad thunerstorm last night and lightning must have struck the shophouse my office is housed in. Telephone line suddenly went bonkers. Internet was immediately down. Boss said sparks came out of his laptop at that moment. My colleague felt or heard the power surge through her earphones. Even the biometric scanner was down. Usually, one would expect a total blackout the moment a power surge occurs in a HDB flat. In this old shophouse, I doubt such a device was installed anywhere. This morning, the internet connection was still down and some of the telephones were not working. The internet connection was not fixed until after lunch when the router was changed. Even then, my colleagues on the third floor still could not access the internet because the switches on that floor were all fried. Have to get a new one. Also, we just found out that our office has a serious termite infestation! They were all living inside the woodwork of our shelves. The pest control guy came and did his stuff and managed to find scores of termite nests! I even got to see how those little buggers looked like. Smaller than I expected though. The infestation was not restricted to the first floor however. There were termites on all floors! Even the window had termites and were eating away at the wooden frame! Guess this is what happens when you set up office in an old shophouse and not a modern office. Starcraft II Collector\'s Edition and Gears of War 3 Announced If you don't know already, Blizzard Entertainment just announced last week that they will be releasing the Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition. In addition to the standard DVD game, it will also come with goodies like an exclusive behind-the-scenes DVD, soundtrack, the first issue of the Starcraft comic, an art book and more. You can find out more about it at the official Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition page. Also, Gears of War 3 is officially announced and is slated for release in April 2011. Like what they did for Gears of War 2, Epic Games said it is going to be an XBox 360 exclusive only game. Means they will not do a PC version. Again. Probably due to claims of rampant piracy of their games. Lame if you ask me. Are they totally ignorant to the fact that there are pirated XBox 360 games out there too? Well, whatever. However, they have released a nice announcement trailer for the game with a rather haunting music. So, now it seems like our office welcomes break ins by criminals. =p |
